BOGO

This has been the season of frenectomies at our homestead.  Quinn was "tongue-tied" when she was born, and thus required one to release her lingual frenulum.  It was relatively painless (at least in appearances), had an estimated blood loss of less than 1 drop, and cost approximately $500.  Then this past Thursday evening, Whit was climbing on his chair in his room in the dark and fell off.  His front teeth sliced his inner lip, resulting in a labial frenectomy.  This particular procedure was quite painful and created a bloody scene that looked like a butcher had commandeered his room, but cost $0.  Moral of the story?  Girls really do cost more than boys.

Da Boyz

A last-minute trip north allowed for some long-overdue cousin time to get the summer started right.  This photo location is quickly becoming a tradition...

The boys had a blast with water guns...and especially liked getting Grandpa.  Notice our son's stealth moves behind his chair.  I think Charlie was to act as a distraction while Whit swooped in from behind. Brilliance from toddler minds.

Our Little Prince and the Porcelain Throne

Potty training is amusing in so many ways, and has been quite the family bonding experience in our household.  Perhaps most entertaining are the words that we have found coming from our mouths that we never foresaw being a part of our dialogue:

It's only urine.

Come on buddy, don't touch the urinal cake.

Please stop splashing in your puddle of pee.

Did you seriously just kick your poop that fell on the floor?

I just had to pull your son out of the toilet because he fell in and got stuck.

Why are there coins in your underpants?
